Born in Washington, DC 1983, Asaph was raised In Israel where he directed, wrote and independently produced two shorts films ZIPPER (2008) and IN BED AT 10 P.M. (2010) , the latter won the 1st Prize at the 2012 Robinson Short Film Competition, the Jury Prize at the 2012 Galilee’s Short Film Festival and was an official selection at several festivals including the 2011 CFC Worldwide Short Film Festival in Toronto.

Asaph graduated from the American Film Institute Conservatory in the Directing Program. SAMNANG, Asaph’s thesis film, was nominated for the 2013 Student Academy Award, won the Richard P. Rogers Spirit of Excellence Award and premiered at the 2013 New York Film Festival.

Asaph has directed award-winning music videos, worked in various television projects and was awarded The Technicolor Student Grant and The Irwin and Sheila Allen Scholarship.
