Casey Cooper Johnson

Prior to his work in Los Angeles, Casey lived for 10 years in post-war Kosovo, writing and producing documentaries and television, including the internationally syndicated current affairs show, LIFE IN KOSOVO, where he wrote and starred in 200 episodes of the political satire segment KOSOVO’S SON-IN-LAW. At the American Film Institute, Johnson wrote and directed the short film UNMANNED (2011), which screened at Tribeca Film Festival and AFI Fest. He was Director/EP of URBAN NIGHTMARES (2017), a 7-part series on the blackpills channel and was Creator, Writer and EP of the Oculus VR series CAMPFIRE CREEPERS (2018). Casey produced and co-wrote the feature film ZANA (2019), directed by Antoneta Kastrati, which world premiered at TIFF 2019 and was Kosovo’s submission for the 2020 Oscars. He also produces for Brave New Films, where he most recently made the documentaries SUPPRESSED: THE FIGHT TO VOTE (2019) and RACIALLY CHARGED: AMERICA’S MISDEMEANOR PROBLEM (2020).
